September News

For the month of September 08 we are concentrating on St lucia. We have just returned from there and my my my a fantastic time was had by whole group.
Long queues and not enough staff prompted a two hour wait in immigration. After an hour and a half 's transfer we settled in North's Smugglers Cove. Officially Smuggler's Cove is rated at a four star, however based on the service I would say more like a three.
Smugglers Cove property is very expansive and lush, the rooms were big and the setting superb. The admin and management staff were attentive, although the majority of restaurant staff were not!!! All to requently we had to deal with staff that were professional. A smile would be nice, cried one the guest!
The food was serious let down, lack seasoning, lack of taste were the main compliants from the guests, two member of our group even suffered food posioning . To cap it all off the main kitchen burn't down flat in two hours on our second nights stay.
Enough is enough we cried. Like many we hastly packed our bags and left vying for another hotel vowing never to return unless they got their act together.
We settled for Coconut Bay a plush hotel in South only five minutes from the airport. What a difference, no more miserable staff and no more tasteless food!
Excursions:
We did many, including travelling down the west coast by car visiting Castries (the capital), snake vendors, Soufriere, Marigot Bay and Pitons then travelling back up by catamaran.
For alll excursions throughout St Lucia I would highly recommend The Travel Boutique
Would I return to St Lucia again? Oh absolutely!!!
