Our first day and we woke up to glorious sunshine.  St Lucia is certainly hotter than I remember.  Even at 7.30am enroute to breakfast it was noticeable how many towels were slung over sun loungers (it's amazing what guests will do to get prime sunbathing position :))

The kids absolutely adored the kids clubs and have participated in a range of activities.  Nick (me wife) and I took time to read and enjoy the scenery.

We have just found out that the Head Chef is British.  However, the range is food is good although predictably I guess the Caribbean foods are toned down to what I am used to with mum's cooking!  The buffet breakfast has the usual as well as options such as salt fish with green banana and the nicest, ripest, softest, plumpest fried plaintain we've ever tried.  We have a choice of four restaurants in general (one adult only) so there's no reason to get bored although we are determined to get out of the resort on a few food occassions.  Tomorrow I will be posting some pictures of what we have seen so far. Wait until you see my Mosquito bites!!
